How can you support the JCC Rockland?
The JCC Rockland relies on the generosity of
community members, special friends, area businesses, and government
foundations to support our community-based program and service offerings
that reach thousands of children, teens and adults each year.
The JCC Rockland hopes that all members of the community have access to
our many programs and services. There are many ways you can help. We
invite you to become a vital part of our vibrant JCC family through your
participation in any or all of our funding endeavors by providing
financial support to those in need.
The JCC Rockland has several scholarship funds established to
support general and specific programming:
JCC Rockland Program
Scholarship Fund
Contributions make it
possible for deserving families and children in financial need to
participate in the many programs and services offered by JCC Rockland,
such as:
Eugene Levy Camp Scholarship Fund
Established as a living memorial to the late New
York State Senator Eugene Levy, recognizing his love for children and
the JCC. Through this fund, Rockland families of all affiliations and
ethnic backgrounds in need of financial aid are offered financial
assistance, enabling their children to attend our day camp programs.
Jason Green Maccabi Scholarship
Fund
The JCC Rockland established this
fund in memory of Peggy and Peter Green’s beloved son. The funds
collected for this scholarship makes it possible for deserving Rockland
teenage athletes with financial need to participate in the JCC Maccabi
Games.
JCC Rockland Maccabi Program
The JCC Maccabi Games can be called the Olympics
for Jewish teens, but they serve a larger purpose than athletic
competition. The JCC Maccabi Games promote community involvement,
teamwork, and pride in being Jewish. The energy and excitement make it a
unique and unforgettable experience for every participant. The funds
collected helps deserving Rockland teenage athletes to participate in
the JCC Maccabi Games.
Rockland Maccabi 2012
Help bring the JCC Maccabi Games to Rockland in 2012.
JCC Rockland Teen Mitzvah Makers
The JCC Rockland strives to instill a strong sense
of Jewish identity in the next generation of American Jews…our teens!
It’s our goal to empower, inspire and motivate our youth about tikkun
olam (healing the world). It’s our mission to educate teens about social
change and the benefits of community service.
Contributions to JCC Mitzvah Makers help support:
Mitzvah Maker Holiday baskets, where thousands of treat baskets are delivered to Rockland’s homebound and infirmed.
EuoCafé, where Holocaust survivors share their experiences with teens.
JakeTalks.org, an internet talk show run by teens.
Mitzvah Day, an annual day of service for Rockland’s Jewish youth in conjunction with Jewish youth globally with J-Serve.
Thank You
